High Energy and Nuclear Physics

Magnetic vortex line

The group works on a range of problems including nuclear structure, relativistic heavy ion collisions, perturbative and nonperturbative aspects of QCD and electroweak theory, neutron stars, neutrino physics, cosmology and string and M-theory. A more detailed account can be found here.

There is close collaboration with the theoretical and experimental groups at the Niels Bohr Institute.

The group is part of EU research training networks Electromagnetic scattering off confined partons and Finite temperature phase transitions in particle physics, two EU/INTAS netw orks, EU network in string theory, ESF network on neutrino physics and a Norfa LHC physics network.

We are a Marie Curie Training Site for Field Theory in Particle and Nuclear Physics.
