Fellow Representative.
The NORDITA fellows elect a representative, whose task is to call fellow meetings and to bring the wishes of the fellows to the attention of the NORDITA staff, and vice versa. The representative attends the weekly faculty meetings and the quarterly board meetings on behalf of the stipendiates. Each stipendiate is assigned a contact person among the staff. It is important that fellows have close cooperation with some staff member(s) and attend colloquia and the regular activities in their field (seminars, lunches, etc.).NORDITA Seminar.
In order to give a broader view of physics, and to improve the contacts between NORDITA physicists working in different fields, a NORDITA Seminar is arranged on Thursday mornings during the semesters. Suggestions for visitors to be invited to NORDITA are considered at the weekly faculty meetings. Please contact a staff member or your fellow representative if you wish to propose a visitor, and email him/her this form.Travel.
NORDITA can support one or several travels to meetings, depending on the scientific case and cost. Please consult a staff member about your plans. NORDITA will support one travel to a fellow's home institution in the Nordic countries per year, print out and fill in travel form. In addition, a home visit is covered for each fellow + family when the contract is renewed for a second year.Fellowship Renewals.
If you wish to renew your fellowship you should make an application by the normal deadline (November 15). Please report on your research progress since your previous application. Given satisfactory progress, second-year renewals are usually a matter of course. However, there have to be strong arguments for any third-year renewal.Fellow photo-album.
NORDITA has an album with photos of the fellows since NORDITA was founded in 1957. Please give us a signed photo (passport size) of yourself to Helle Kiilerich at your earliest convenience. Also give a second copy of the photo for our photo-board.Recycling boxes.
